The south zone continues to contribute with the highest volumes of harvest in this last third of the Chilean season. The climate continues to behave favorably, without rain that interrupts the labors. On the other hand, the temperatures begin to behave within normal ranges, after the heat wave that hit the producing areas last weekend and that lasted until Wednesday of this week (wk06).

The exports of week 05 reached 7,375 tons, accumulating to date 93,518 tons, this means an 85% of progress respect to the estimate and 4% more than the previous season. The organic blueberries are still at the peak of outputs, with 1,935 tons exported on week 05 and 10,092 tons accumulated, this is 53% more than last season. In this increase stands out North America, with a 46% increase in imports of organic blueberries compared to the previous season and Europe that has practically doubled its imports.

Finally, it is important to highlight this week the world's fresh fruit industry meets in Berlin at Fruit Logistic, an event where the Chilean blueberry committee is present and where the growth of organic blueberries exports have been noted.

We hope everyone has a good fair.
